Day Nine

Standard

What a lovely day! The day began with a knock at the door as my parcel arrived from Amazon- 5 new books. Being off means I have more time to peruse different websites and bag some bargains- yes DH they were bargains! The parcel was full of lots of crafting scruminess and I had a lovely time at breakfast looking and drooling over lots of lovely things to make. It was all very exciting.

Now, I must confess to still being a bit under the weather. I think it is as a result of my operation, but I was determined today to carry on regardless.

I had arranged to meet with a friend for lunch. As you will recall I was unable to make it out of the door on Monday- well the same nearly happened today. As I am becoming absolutely stir crazy staring at the four walls of the living room it made me resolute to not miss out again. I telephoned my friend to make escape plans if I needed to, packed a bag of emergency essential, set out and paid a visit to Boots for some over the counter remedies before we met up. The cafe was close to home so I was more confident to venture forth.

I had a lovely time. A good chat, a two hour lunch and a change of scenery……fantastic! My friend is also a good source of advice about this craft fair malarkey having done a fair few herself. This sent me into todays project with renewed enthusiasm and less fear about what I have signed up for. Cheers N 🙂

I am very excited by my big reveal today. I made it for the craft stall- but I am not sure that it will make it there! See for yourself. Drum roll please…………

Tadaa!

Hold on you need to see this from more than one angle….You have to see this slightly bigger….

Can you tell I am really pleased with my efforts? I am very proud of myself too as this is all my own work. No pattern was required in the making of this tea cosy! I am not a tea drinker but this certainly makes me want to put the kettle on! Woo Hoo!

Well my lovelies I have got to go. I have already started the giant tea cosy and I have to make plans for tomorrows big make.

See you tomorrow xxxx

P.S. Word press is now giving out medals for the amount of followers you have. I have to confess to wanting one. Please, if you are reading this and you are not already a follower can you click on the little button. 🙂 Thank you xxxxx
