Day 33- Now it’s Easter Saturday!

Standard

Good afternoon Norway, Iceland and GB, and welcome to the United Arab Emirates 🙂

Well I’ve done it! Or should I say Auntie M and myself have done it. The craft fair is now over; and I loved every minute of it!

My good intentions of an early night were blighted by the fact that I found loads of pegs that needed painting. Grrrrr! So I eventually ascended the stairs at 2.00am this morning worrying if I had made enough. What do you think?

The alarm came all too quickly and I was up, tummy still whirling, and down to pack the car. Why when you need to get somewhere do children go so slowly..and DH’s!

Anyway- despite me urging them on because we would be late, we were there in plenty of time. Auntie M was there, bunting in hand, ready to set up the stall. To be honest the whole day seemed to go so quickly. Our pitch was very near the door, and so we were very well placed to see lots of familiar faces coming in. We were in the middle of the hall so there were no walls to lean cushions against- but with a handy clothes airer- kindly painted by Dad, the cushions were shown to the full effect.

Considering we were there from 10.00am till 3.30pm the time quickly disappeared. Familiar faces appeared from 10.30am onwards. In fact there were so many familiar faces that it became like a party. Lots of chatting and catching up. It was a lovely day, then all too soon we were packing up the left over wares and off back home, stopping only to have a flutter on the Grand National- we didn’t win!

I have to say a big thank you to everyone who came to see us; and to everyone who purchased. We did really well 🙂 Thank you.

I must admit to feeling a little bit lost at the moment; rather like when I had finished my exams but still feeling that I should be revising.  Myself and Moo are sitting watching Miss Marple, (…this must be the first TV I have watched in a week) wondering ‘what was that all about?’

What have I learned- if anything?

  • Don’t get myself into such a tiz
  • Don’t try and second guess what people want to buy. People all like different things.
  • Sleep!
  • Enjoy it!

So would I do it again? Well I do have an application form for a craft fair in May…and I do have things left over! In answer to the question however, I am going to sleep on it and decide tomorrow.

One last photo to show…

Today’s make! Well it is a year on the make…and it is what I have set out to do, no days off! You’ll find out what this is in a few days time.

See you tomorrow, I’m off to bed!

  1. Loved all you lovely things, and would like more, but will have to visit you after payday. My bread baskets were admired by my visitors on Saturday and I would like to order a black and white one please for a gift.

    • Thankyoufor all your lovely comments. 🙂 Do you want a large or small bread basket? The large has a bright pink lining, and the small has red.
